Color me Matey!

I made this quick card for my nephew Noah's 2nd birthday. I stamped the images from Ahoy, Matey! on Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink. The image stamped on the Buckaroo Blue (retired) is the Matey's Map Wheel. To attach the crayons, I use my Crop-o-Dile and put 2 side by side holes in the blue base. I threaded the ribbon through the holes and around the crayons.

I did add a happy birthday stamp to the top right corner - but that was after I had already taken the picture.

I will be making more of these color me cards for some vendor and craft fairs.

I heart purses!

I love these little cards too! These purses were made using Stampin' Up! punches. I used the Round Tab punch for the bag, the Word Window punch for the closure with the 1/16" handheld punch so I could add a brad. The handle was made by using the small oval punch and the large oval punch. I found it easier to punch the small oval first, and then line up the large oval punch to get the thickness of the handle that I wanted.
Here are a few pictures of the handle to show you what I'm talking about...
Small oval...
Large oval...
Finished handle...

I used my tape runner to adhere the entire handle to the back of the round tab punch. Obviously, the larger part of the oval will not be seen. Give them a try and let me know what you think!

How do you like them apples?

I love the fun Summer Picnic paper that you can get in the Occasions Mini. I had this quart size paint can in my to do stash and decided to wrap it in the green apple paper. I used Sticky Strip to adhere the paper to the can. Then added an Old Olive ribbon to finish it off.
I wonder if I can find some of those yummy caramel covered green apple suckers to put in it?!

That's a Frap!

A Frappuccino that is. I used 2 scallop circles, and a 1-3/8" circle to cover the lid. No painting! I added a flower rub-on and a brad to the lid too. I then wrapped the bottle with a piece of scrap paper and added a few more rub-ons. I love how the green rub-on on the scallop circle was a perfect fit! I used a few dimensionals to pop up the big white scallop circle. Of course - those are mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups!

Fun Frames

I found these frames at the Dollar Tree. Yup, one dollar and a few rub-ons totally transform these frames! The white frame has the rub-ons right on the glass, while the green frame has the rub-ons on the outer edge of the plastic frame.

Post-it keychain

I fell in LOVE with these cute post-it holder keychains that Angie Kennedy Juda shared on her blog. I used the So Many Scallops set here but punched the center of the scalloped image out with my 1-3/8" punch, then layered it onto my Real Red scallop circle. The base is Yo-Yo yellow!

Lemon or Orange

I found these cute gift bags on clearance at Target. I thought they would be the perfect match to some stamped tissue paper using my new Tart & Tangy set. I used Pumpkin Pie to stamp the oranges, and Summer Sun to stamp the lemons. Guess I could have even used some Green Galore to add a few limes! Hmmm... maybe next time!

Sweet not Sour

I made these sour cream containers for my make and take at my Girls Night Out last Friday. I used a piece of 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" paper and sticky strip to seal it up. Then used my crimper to get the ridges on the ends. For the tag, we used the So Many Scallops Sale-A-Bration set. As you can see - I didn't quite get my scallop punch lined up too well! Oops.

Funky, fresh, and fun!

I had this pretty blue candle in my stash and thought I'd dress it up with some Eastern Elegance rub-ons! Of course, I couldn't find the handy dandy Popsicle stick that comes with my rub-ons so I used my finger nail. Yup - using what God gave me! The rub-ons transferred so easily! I do believe I will be making some more of these for Mother's Day!

The party continues...

I'm still here partying! In fact, I'm having a party at my house this Friday! It's a P.M.S. party. Pizza, music, and shopping! Woo Hoo!!

A few other direct sales demos will be joining me and some friends for a Girls Night Out. I can't wait!

This is the first Saturday since January 12th that the whole family will be home! No basketball games, no classes, no coach meeting, no nothing! We can actually sleep in and then have a nice breakfast together. Enjoy some Saturday morning cartoons, and then play all day!! Well, after the chores are done of course.

Sunday is Church. It's Palm Sunday. It is also the start of Spring Break for my kids. No break for me this year though. I have a conference at work to attend for the next two weeks.

What are your plans this weekend?

Ultimate Blog Party!

ImageChef.com - Custom comment codes for MySpace, Hi5, Friendster and more

It's Friday and it's time for the Ultimate Blog Party to begin! I'll start the introductions...

My name is Andrea. I live in Peoria, AZ with my 2 sons and wonderful husband.

My parents live right down the street from me - literally - they are 5 houses down! It actually works out well. They do their thing, and we do ours. We're lucky to see them once a month! My grandmother lives there also! My boys love to spend time with their Great Grandma, Grandma and Grandpa too!

My favorite color is blue! I love all shades of blue - but especially midnight blue.

I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I was just promoted to a Senior Associate! My husband wasn't as excited as I was. Especially since you get the promotion for reaching $1,000 in sales. More than 1/2 was purchased by me - but that's besides the point! Hee hee.

OK! Your turn. Leave me a comment with something I can learn about you! Have a question for me? Ask away!

Don't forget to check out the Ultimate Blog Party site! You can get to it by clicking the big pink box on the right side. There are some great prizes to be won! Check out the prize list. I would love to win #64, #1, #28, #30, #52, and so many more!

Peas and Carrots

So it's more carrotts than peas, but you get the idea!

I made these thank you carrots for my hostess group. I had to switch our Hostess club night this month at the last minute due to an awards ceremony for the kids basketball teams. So, it was only right that I minded my "Peas and Carrot ts" and showed them how much I appreciate them!

I used 12" disposable decorating bags. Added some jelly beans. Gave the bag a twist. Stuffed some green tissue paper in the top. Then tied it all together with a little ribbon and a tag. I created the tag using my small tag punch. The thank you stamp came from my Family Phrases set.

Love you a latte!

These On the Go packs of instant coffee were being given out for free at my work the other day. The first thing I thought of was the Scratch & Sniff technique! So, of course I grabbed one! Wonder if they have any more?! I used my Pun Fun stamp set for this cute card. I stamped my image on a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of Whisper White card stock using my classic ink. I then used my Versamarker to fill in the cup where the coffee would go. It did smear my ink - but that was OK because it made my coffee black. I then sprinkled my mixture of coffee crystals and clear embossing powder over the wet Versamarker, and gave it a quick blast of heat with my heat gun. To color the cup, I used my Rich Regal Watercolor Crayons.

The paper is Rose Red Designer Series paper. Added a touch of Whisper White ribbon to finish the card off. The base of the card is Whisper White card stock - cut to 3" x 6" - to give me a cute gift note sized card. Perfect to add to a Mother's Day gift bag.

And yes, it does really smell like coffee!
Congrats to Melanie Muenchinger over at Hands, Head and Heart. She made her goal of reaching the Top 100 stamp sites! It is one of my favorite blogs to check out daily. Go check out why...

Lucky Charms

I made these 4 leaf clovers with my scallop punch! Rather simple actually. Just start at a peak and cut out one slice every 2 scallops - excep after the fourth one. You will have a single scallop that just needs the tip cut off to create the stem.

Didn't have time to add any glitter - but bling clovers would rock!

So much to share with you...

I started preparing my display boards for our P.M.S. party! Here are just a few of the sample items I will have to show. If you have any questions... leave me a comment!

Joseph's Coat technique with a top layer of Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds.

Remember when you would color a piece of paper with different colors and then color over the top with a black crayon and scratch the black with a design? Well, now they have the paper that's already made that way for kids, but here is a stamper's version. It's done using a brayer, glossy card stock, Versamark, Classic Inks, embossing powder, and a heat gun.

You're A Blast - from Pun Fun is such a cute stamp set! To create the corners on the Gable Green card stock, and Real Red card stock, I used my Slit Punch. The ribbon was made using Whisper White Grosgrain, and my Gable Green marker!

Thank Ewe, thank ewe very much! I used my markers to omit the heart that this cute sheep was holding in it's left hand. Or is that a hoof? The colors are Old Olive and So Saffron.
Going Baroque. I love this set! This is a 6x6 layout. I used my Scallop punch, my 1-3/8" circle punch and my 1" circle punch to create the medallion.
Friendship Blooms. I almost didn't get this Sale-A-Bration set - but I am glad I did! This card was CASED from Nancy Riley. I used So Saffron, Basic Black, and Whisper White here.
Get Whale Soon! This whale is part of the Pun Fun set. He is so much fun! I used my Round Tab punch to create a circe large enough for the whale to peek through. What's he swimming in? Why that would be clear hair gel! I did add a little glitter for some sparkle.

Here's a closer view of the whale.

My boys have their last basketball game next Saturday. To thank my youngest sons coach, I made this card using All in the Family and it's accessory set. Cute huh?!

Till next time...
