This is without a doubt one of the coolest PC illusions I have seen so far. Follow the instructions:
1) Relax and concentrate of the 4 small dots in the middle of the picture for about 30-40 seconds.
2) Then, take a look at a wall near you (any smooth, single colored surface)
3) You will see a circleof light developing
4) Start blinking your eyes a couple of times, and you will see a figure emerging...
5) What do you see? Moreover, who do you see?

We are family!

This fun 8x10 family portrait now hangs in our livingroom. I used the All in the family set, the Neighborhood jumbo wheel, and Best Friends alphabet. The patterned paper is from the Brocade Background designer series. The family was stamped using Classic black ink, matted onto Old Olive and Very Vanilla cardstock.

I thought the picture looked better in black and white, so I decided not to color it - yet. I'm sure it will start to bother me, especially since there is nothing plain about this Mason family.

I really liked this set when I first saw it in the catalog. I had to have it after I saw the cute cards and gifts people on Splitcoaststampers.com were creating with it! When it came to me in my last order, I was a little scared to try it. I was a bit weary of making someone's head way above their shoulders! Talk about having your head in the clouds! I'm glad to report, that this set is rather simple to use. I mounted their heads at the bottom of the block, and the bodies and feet at the top of the block. This way, I can see exactly where to line them up. After a few tries to get the alignment just right, I was on my way to loving this set!

Know what else I love about this set? All proceeds during the month of November are being donated to help SU! family members. See my earlier blog post about Dave Abbott.

Don't forget about the SU! Paper Party. You can get a free pack of Designer paper when you buy three!

A few more ornament samples...

Glittery Snowflake Spot City of David (sorry for the glare!)
Here are a few more samples of the ornaments you can create with your child (of any age) at my December 2nd, Mom & Me class. Registration is due by November 26th! Contact me today if you are interested!!

I was very happy to learn, by trial and error of course, that we can use inkjet transparencies and Classic SU! ink to create these images! Not having to use Stazon ink will save so much time and frustration for everyone!

Want to build your stamp collection, but can’t have a workshop right now?

Join a Hostess Club

Here’s how it works:

I will give you a Stampin’ Up! Idea Book & Catalog for FREE (retail value is $9.95) and you agree to place a $30 order per month until everyone in the group has been the “hostess”. With 5 people in the club*, you will be the “hostess” once in a given year. When it’s your month to be “hostess,” you earn hostess benefits starting at $150 in sales – so when each of the 5 people places a $30 order, that month’s hostess will earn at least $15 of free merchandise AND a hostess set! The amount of free merchandise goes up if the total workshop amount goes up!
Just think . . . you can earn hostess benefits just by spending $30 a month!
*Don’t worry if you don’t know 9 other people interested in joining a club.
I will create a club once I have 10 interested people!

Each month, participants will meet at my home to create a project and place orders, or you can email or phone your order in by the 15th of each month….
It’s that simple!

Please contact Andrea Mason to join a club today!
(623) 261-9613 cell
ilove2scrap@cox.net

**This plan can be adapted to the number of people if you choose.
For example, 10 people can agree to spend $15 per month and receive the same benefits.

Guess what is returning in 2008?!

Individual color packages of 12 x 12 Stampin' Up! Cardstock!

Beginning with the upcoming Spring-Summer Collection 2008, 12" x 12" card stock in individual color packages will return to the Stampin' Up! product offering in addition to the color family assortments!

SU! heard all of the distress from customers and demonstrators, and decided to add the individual packages back to the catalog!

So what does this mean for you? It means that you can order the perfect color for your projects, and not have to order an assortment package with colors that you may not want or need!

Mmmm... More chocolate!

Here are a few more tins that will be available at a November craft fair. Thank goodness the craft fair is inside - otherwise all this chocolate would melt - even in November, Arizona weather is not chocolate friendly!

The teacher tin at the top was done by my crafty buddy Suz. Check out her blogs (the links are to the right)!
